Washington Street Shelter
Serve meals to those in need. Bellies and hearts are filled across the Valley through our dining rooms where thousands of nourishing, hot meals are served along with a loving community and space where all are welcomed as part of the family.
Those who are experiencing homelessness and food insecurity often do not know where or when their next meal is coming. SVdP’s dining rooms around the Valley are thriving places where these individuals can come not only for a hot, nutritious meal and a smile, but to find supportive wrap-around services. Volunteers create an experience many of us take for granted, an opportunity to feel welcome and part of a family. Bellies and hearts are filled across the Valley through our four dining rooms where thousands of nourishing, hot meals accompany our hospitality every day. Volunteers help with duties such as: dining room set up; greeting and engaging with our residents; serving drinks; distributing plated meals; and cleaning the dining room (mop floors, wipe tables, wash dishes).
